You may say this is cheesy, but we’re okay with that.  Our name IRACEL KC comes from our names Iran + Celia + KC (Kansas City).  When I told my friend that’s how we got the name, she said ‘Girl, you should have called it CELIRA KC!” HAHA or should I say JAJA in Spanish. Just kidding. No, but for real, I don’t think that’s too catchy.  Iracel KC is just right for us.

Iran and I decided to combine not only our names but our ideas.  I have always created art with messages or humor that relate to our every day lives.  Iran has always had a special talent for word play, humor and pinpointing the uniqueness of our cultures. So, as my mother in law would say ‘No hayan ni que hacer, verdad?’, ( You have nothing better to do, right?’ so we decided to add on more to our plate of our daily lives.  But, it’s okay, because so far this is really fun and it’s also way to work on our discipline and patience.  We’re in for the long run and we plan to have some fun with it.

P.S. You’ll see on this website we’ll have Spanish and English postings.  That’s a part of who we are, so if you don’t see it in English first, just look before or after and you’ll see it there. Also, don’t expect exact translations of anything here.  I write what I feel in English and I write what I feel in Spanish – they are mostly the same, but never exact.  It’s just not the same when talking from your heart.

Tal vez dirán que suena super cursi, pero ya me acostumbre a lo cursi. Soy cursi. Pero bueno, nuestro nombre IRACEL, KC nació de nuestros nombres Iran + Celia + KC (Kansas City).  Cuando le dije a una amiga que así fue como nació el nombre me dijo ‘Ay no, pero porque Iran primero? Debió ser CELIRA KC!’ JAJA o como se dice en ingles, HAHA.  No, pero ya en serio Iracel suena mejor.  Iracel KC refleja lo que somos.

Iran y yo decidimos combinar mas que los nombres, decidimos combinar nuestras ideas. De alguna manera siempre he creado arte con mensajes o humor que refleja nuestras vidas.  Iran siempre ha tenido un talento para la palabras, humor y el poder encontrar la manera perfecta para transmitir lo único y especial de nuestras culturas.  Así que como dice mi suegra, ‘No hayan ni que hacer, verdad?’, decidimos agregarle un poco mas a nuestras lista de responsabilidades.  Pero, por el momento esta bien porque nos estamos divirtiendo mucho y también estamos aprendiendo a trabajar en nuestra disciplina y paciencia.  Esto va para largo y queremos pasarla bien.

Nos puedes seguir en nuestras redes sociales para ver donde estará nuestro puesto ambulante.  Y también estaremos compartiendo que significan los diseños y las playeras para nosotros.  Todo es intencional y nos da gusto poder compartirlo con ustedes.

P.D.  Veran en esta página contenido en español e ingles.  Así es nuestra vida, así que si no ve español primero, vea antes/después del ingles y ahi lo encontrara.  Ah, y otra cosa.  No espere encontrar traducciones exactas del contenido – la mayoría va a ser una traducción similar, pero tal vez no exacta.  Escribo lo que siento en ingles y escribo lo que siento en español.  Nunca suele ser exacto cuando uno habla desde el corazón.
